Lo Scoglio

Coopers Shoot, Byron Bay

dolce far niente
the sweetness of doing nothing

Lo Scoglio, a distinguished new addition to Byron Bay's hinterland, unfolds over two acres in the picturesque Coopers Shoot. This architectural masterpiece stands as a testament to the timeless sophistication of European farmhouse design and slow living. Inside this tranquil retreat, simplicity meets elegance, creating a space that is both inviting and effortlessly stylish.

Recently spotlighted in Vogue Australia, this Italian inspired luxury home is filled with vintage pieces, handmade designs and luxurious motifs. Weathered stone walls and aged hardwood floors lend an air of authenticity, while subtle floral accents add a touch of natural beauty to the interiors.

The owners Charlie and Angela Arnott, have curated this space with local designers to celebrate the heritage and craftsmanship over the home rather than reinventing the space. Observe understated luxury at its finest with pleated wall lights casting a soft glow over cosy corners and gathering areas illuminated by rustic italian fittings. Brass accents, terracotta and a mix of metals and glass create a warm atmosphere, intended for family and friends to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Outside, two stone courtyards offer tranquil spots for relaxation, while an outdoor fire pit provides the ideal setting for evenings spent under the stars. Whether lounging indoors or basking in the beauty of the surrounding countryside, Lo Scoglio intends for guests to unwind and embrace the simple pleasures of life in a truly enchanting setting.

The space and design are a collaborative masterpiece led by co-owners Charlie and Angelica Arnott
